Alternative Medicine can be loosely defined as anything that does not fit into the traditional western medical model. The Federal government has given it the more broad title of Complimentary and Alternative Medicine or CAM. The National Institute of Health (NIH) has granted millions of dollars for research of CAM therapies this year alone. A survey conducted by the World Health Organization indicated that over one third of the American Public had sought treatment from an alternative practitioner. Alternatives to traditional care are on the horizon and more insurance companies are reimbursing for alternatives like acupuncture, chiropractic and massage.

While Acupuncture and chiropractic are based on eastern - western medical models there also exist other models of alternative medicine. One such quantum medicine is JMT ™ . The Jaffe-Mellor Technique likens the human nervous and immune systems to a computer. Being on-line your computer picks up viruses, stores emotional trauma, malfunctions and other glitches that lead to less than optimal performance. When the human bio-computer is online AKA “alive” we tend to pick up the same kind of bugs that cause up to fail in optimal performance. Failing to locate the root cause of the problem will eventually lead to greater internal issues that can threaten the daily functioning of the hard drive. The main premise is that the human body is able and can heal itself. Another important concept is that emotions and emotional disturbances are underlying all dis-ease. Particularly in autoimmune issues I have found the existence of some type of emotional trauma. This emotional trauma is underlying and in most instances prevents complete healing.
Even when medical management eases symptoms there is usually another expression of the trauma that occurs. For example when MS symptoms are controlled by drugs or natural remedies if the emotions are not dealt with then the patient will eventually begin to manifest another problem like psoriasis or eczema. This is a clear pattern that I have found evident in almost all cases of AI dis-ease. Patients routinely state “ I have done lots of psychotherapy” however the concept that our bodies retain cellular memory is one that should not be discarded. The body remembers how it responded and continues to respond to the emotional trauma. Emotional memories become locked inside each cell and it is only upon release of these memories that true and complete healing can occur. There are many ways that we as healers can guide patients in the release of these cellular memories and one of the most effective is the Jaffe-Mellor Technique.

JMT ™ is a proprietary system of treatment based upon a method of assessing and evaluating the autonomic nervous system of a patient through a unique method of muscle response testing using nonverbal and verbal questions and statements.

This method is completely noninvasive there are no oral supplements, injections or other applications provided to the patient.

Where evaluation discovers glitches in the autonomic nervous system, verbal corrective commands are utilized to repair the problem thus enabling the body to heal itself.
The process is reinforced by acupressure stimulation or percussion of vertebral sectors and specific patterned breathing.

The sessions follow a protocol that includes muscle response testing or applied kinesiology to direct the treatment. The patient then completes a series of patterned breathing which includes deep inhalation, exhalation and shallow panting while the muscles on either side of the spine are stimulated by a massager.

An example of such a patient follows; The patient has been suffering from severe acid reflux and violent heaving of bile fluids since her lifesaving surgery for stomach cancer. The surgery although life saving created a malfunction in the value leading from the stomach to the esophagus. This malfunction created a constant reflux of acid into the throat. This made it impossible to sleep and or eat much food. After trying many forms of western treatment mostly pharmaceutical the patient was frustrated and losing hope. The patient was treated with acupuncture and Chinese herbs. While progress was made in reducing the frequency and severity of the episodes total resolution was denied.
